Meeting Minutes: April 08, 2021
The Carter County Commissioners met on Monday April 05, 2021 in the Carter County Courthouse Boardroom. Present were Steve Rosencranz, Chairman; Rod Tauck, Vice Chair; Mike Watkins, Member; and Corbit Harrington Attorney.
Commissioner Rosencranz called the meeting to order at 9:00 am.
OAC Meeting
Present: John Neisner, Robert Johnson, and Cody Taggert, Scull Construction; Ryan Tooke, DMHC CEO, Kelly Axeman, Slate Architect; Greg Benjamin, Stahly Engineering. Pam Castleberry, Clerk and Recorder; and Georgia Bruski, Dahl Board Member.
Action Items: Scull Construction is working through the close-outs. Cody will start a future stock list of items that will be stored in PT gym area. This would include ceiling tile, flooring, paint etc.
Schedule: Patient wing is complete. Currently working in metal building and working their way to the E.R. department. Installs this week include elevator, pneumatic tube, and Ansel fire suppression system. Next week will include kitchen equipment, Glazing, acoustical ceiling, fire sprinklers. The propane tanks are set and lines installed. The electrician will have to install power to finish the project.
CAR #6 includes concrete irrigation sleeve in the courtyard, signage changes credit Creative Iron Works Courtyard fence, as well additional sidewalk at main entrance, canopy changes and acoustical insulation in office area. The addition of door between room 1228-1229, Public Health area will be included in this as per agreement of the commission. Cody will update CAR #6 to include this and present it at the next OAC meeting.
Ryan, let the group know that the CT scanner delivery will be delayed until the end of June. He also set up a time with Pam to go over the grants and invoices to sort out who is responsible for each payment.
The commissioning of the building is scheduled for the first week in May and should take 3 weeks.
John presented The Board with the contract for direct reimbursables, including heat, trash and porta potties. He recommends using $41,000.00 of contingency funds to cover the costs.
The OAC meeting adjourned at 11:15.
Commissioner Tauck made the motion to sign the Memorandum of Understanding between the Carter County Sheriff’s Department and Drug Task Force. Commissioner Watkins seconded the motion. There was no public comment and the motion passed unanimously.
Commissioner Tauck made the motion to approve the meeting minutes for March 31, 2021. Commissioner Watkins seconded the motion. There was no public comment and the motion carried.
Part time Assistant public Health Nurse interviews: Present included Rita Williams Public Health Board Vice President and applicants Tessa Pearson and Kirstie Nelson.
Following the interviews commissioner Watkins made the motion to offer Kirstie the position. Commissioner Tauck seconded the motion. There was no public comment and the motion passed.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 5:05 PM.
