The Carter County Commissioners met on Monday, January 25, 2021 in the Carter County Courthouse Boardroom. Present were Steve Rosencranz Chairman, Rod Tauck vice chair, and Mike Watkins member. Commissioner Rosencranz called the meeting to order at 1:00 pm.

Commissioner Watkins made the motion to publish the letter of rebuttal of the letter published in the Ekalaka Eagle by Dahl Memorial Healthcare Association providers. Commissioner Tauck seconded the motion. There was no public comment and the motion carried.

The commission discussed the Public Health nurse position with regard to salary. There is a need for software for billing and a medical director/ physician to sign facilitate the use of the software and to provide standing orders. The current public Health Office is housed in Dahl Memorial and has been repurposed as a COVID-19 safe visitation area. The consensus of the commission is to move the public Health Office to the basement of the courthouse until the new facility is complete.
