The Carter County Commissioners met on Monday September 10, 2020 in the Carter County Courthouse Boardroom. Present were Steve Rosencranz Chairman, Rod Tauck Vice Chair, and Mike Watkins member Corbit Harrington Attorney. Commissioner Rosencranz called the meeting to order at 9:00 AM.
Jade Boggs The Insurance Store- Insurance Policy renew from Travelers Insurance. The County currently has a 11-million-dollar policy that does not include the Hospital. The deductible for property is $5,000.00. This also includes a 1-million-dollar earthquake coverage.
Ryan Tooke, DMHC joined the meeting.
Pam Casselberry -Clerk and Recorder When the certificate of completion is signed on The Dahl Memorial Hospital the County will add the coverage. The county currently covers the buildings and Jade will look into contents coverage. Attorney Harrington asked about automobile policy coverage, list of drivers, and acceptable use. The board questioned airport insurance coverage, volunteer workers covered under automobile policy. Jade will look into these questions.
Commissioner Tauck made the motion to accept the new insurance offer from The Insurance Store­Travelers Insurance, with Jade Boggs. Commissioner Watkins seconded the motion. There was no public comment and the motion carried unanimously.
The commissioners, Attorney Harrington and Pam reviewed the Personnel Policy.
The commission broke for lunch @ 12:00 and reconvened at 1:00
Commissioner Watkins made a motion to approve the minutes from the August 24 and 27 meetings. Commissioner Tauck seconded the motion. There was no public comment and all voted in favor. the motion carried.
The commissioners called Fallon Co. commissioners and spoke to Deb Ranum about a combining a contract for services from David Turch Federal Lobbyist.
There was no further business, the meeting adjourned at 3: 45 PM
